What Was So Special?

"We spent an enjoyable afternoon at the park with this nice family.  My challenge  was to find a setting in this busy forest backdrop that worked well for the finished portrait.  I selected this rustic dock for several artistic reasons.  Notice how  the railing draws you to the family, emphasizing them.  Also, observe how it  blends with the woods to make a soft background that compliments the family instead of distracting from them.  The choice of clothing pops them out while looking natural in the surroundings.  The final touch was a relaxed pose which blended with the setting to create this warm and meaningful family memory."
